Kit Thorburn (Kids Finding Balance After School Yoga Class)

Kit is thrilled to share her passion for yoga with children this Fall at The Farm.  Her classes are especially designed for 8-12 year olds.  They offer a unique blend of fun and playful practice that leaves students feeling refreshed and inspired.  Kit is a certified instructor in the “Kidding Around Yoga” method, and enjoys incorporating song, dance, creative movement and art into her classes.  As a classically trained ballet dancer, Kit became a dedicated follower of yoga after a life changing accident.  She believes that yoga, while a physically and mentally challenging practice, offers a quiet sense of mindfulness that is particularly beneficial to children in today’s over scheduled and busy world.  In addition, Kit is a veteran Public School Teacher Assistant and on many afternoons, you will find Kit teaching yoga classes to kiddos at her home studio.
