Farm Animals Dive Into 2020!

For over 25 years, The Farm is one of the few pools in the triangle area to provide a summer diving program for its members. The goal of our Farm Summer Diving Program is to teach safe diving techniques (of utmost importance!), to promote the diver’s physical and mental development and coordination (body awareness), and provide a successful and FUN experience that enhances overall confidence level and self-esteem. For safety, A child must have earned his/her Farm Swim Badge to participate in diving lessons.

This summer we are offering diving lessons for 10 weeks starting Monday, June 15th until the children head back to school mid- August. We are running a joint diving program with the UNC Diving Age Group Year Around Diving Program this summer, headed up by UNC Head Dive Coach, Yaidel Gamboa. Due to social distancing needs, we have limitations on the number of divers we can have in classes so it is best to sign up early. We have four coaches per group so we can provide safe small group instruction. We are also following all FARM pool Covid 19 rules.

We are offering two group sessions Monday- Thursday (4 days a week). These two sessions are based mainly on age, but we can accommodate if parents need to put two children in one group (e.g. an 8-year-old and a 12-year-old):

Farm Diving Schedule: Monday- Thursday

9:00-10:00 am: Member/Nonmember/Non Camper Mix group (all ages)
9:30-10:30 am: 9 years and under (Day Camp Divers start July 13)
10:30-11:30 am: 9 years and over (Youth Camp Divers start July 13)

“Challenge by Choice” Summer Farm Dive Meets!

Summer Dive Meets (Ice Cream Socials as I like to call them) are usually held in July and August however this summer we do not have any dive meets scheduled yet.
