Camp
Can non-members sign up for camp?
Yes, non-members are allowed to sign up for camp. However, there are a few restrictions. Farm Camp will open to non-member registration beginning April 1st. In order to sign up non-members, Farm management will need to attach each non-member to an active sponsoring member account. We will do this in the order in which non-member requests are received. When the Google Form is sent out, please fill out guest information to reserve your guest’s spot. Farm members will be responsible for non-member camp payments. Charges for non-member weeks will be billed directly to member accounts (The Farm will not take payments from non-members). All payments will be made on the 1st of each month after a week has taken place (i.e. the July 1st week of camp will be billed on August 1st). A separate survey form is required for each guest you wish to enroll. By filling out this survey, you are reserving their spot in line, NOT guaranteeing a spot in camp. You will receive a CourtReserve email confirmation regarding enrollment status OR wait list status once they have been entered into the system.
Can my child do tennis camp and summer camp during the same week?
Yes, please make sure you let the camp director know if you enroll in both camps in the same week. We will mark your registration with this information and pro-rate your regular camp enrollment.
My child is ALMOST the correct age for camp. Can I enroll them with their friends and move them up?
Unfortunately, we have a cut off for our age policy and it is as follows:
- Absolutely no 4 year olds in camp. Campers must turn 5 during the week they attend Farm Camp.
- All other cross-over ages (6 to 7 and 9 to 10) must be birthdays that fall during the summer calendar. For example, a camper turns 10 on August 10th and wants to attend Youth Camp in July. This camper would be allowed to attend Youth Camp. However, a camper who turns 10 on September 5th and wants to attend Youth Camp during any session will not be permitted to do so.
Is there a cancellation fee?
Yes, our cancellation policy is as follows:
- You may cancel any week of camp up to March 31st. No cancellation fees will be assessed before this time.
- All weeks cancelled April 1st-June 1st will incur a $50 cancellation fee for each week.
- All weeks cancelled June 2nd-June 15th will incur a $100 cancellation fee for each week.
- Any weeks cancelled after June 15th will not be refunded. Weeks may be switched to open spaces, but ONLY if space permits. Changes must be approved and completed by Camp Director. The Farm has discretion to refund weeks due to illness or injuries.
- All Summer Camp cancelations requests must be made through email with Camp Director, Seth Pomerantz (seth@uncfarm.org).
- Swim Lesson Cancellation Policy: All payments are final once a week has begun, regardless of attendance. Lifeguards are assigned lessons based on camper enrollment on Monday of every week.
What will my child need to bring to camp?
All items brought to camp should be in a backpack. Please provide the following: bathing suits and towels, tennis racquet, sunscreen (staff will assist with sunscreen as needed), lunch and water bottle, and snacks (2 snack breaks for Little Farmer’s and a snack is encouraged for After Care).
Where do we go for camp?
Drop-off and pick-up for Little Farmer’s will take place on the left, in the shelter behind the clubhouse and left of the main building. Drop-off and pick-up for Day Camp will take place on the right, behind the shelters in the gravel parking lot. Drop-off and pick-up for Youth Camp will take place on the right, in front of the upper shelter. Parents are welcome to walk their children into camp. Pick-up will take place between 3:00-3:30 at the same location you dropped off in the morning. Please be on time for pick-up. A late pick-up constitutes picking up 10 minutes or later past scheduled pick-up time (3:40 or later or 5:40 or later for after camp pick up). We allow one grace period for late pick-ups after which a $15 late fee will be assessed for each occurrence.
Do you have a plan for super hot days?
During excessively hot weather, typically 95 degrees or hotter, camp schedules will be altered to provide increased swimming and clubhouse time.
