Tennis Lessons & Clinics
The Farm offers a beautiful tennis facility with 12 Har-tru courts and 4 hard courts in a private wooded setting. You can’t help but breathe a little easier upon entering the facility to enjoy some of the best clay courts in the area. With tennis opportunities for every age and every player, The Farm tennis program is ready and available for you. Junior Clinics
Rising Stars - Red Ball
Ages: 4-7*
Ball: Red
Dates: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays, 3:45-4:30pm
Description: In this clinic, participants will begin to develop a lifelong love for the game of tennis in a fun and fast format. Kids will engage in basic hand and foot-eye coordination drills, be able to demonstrate control over ball and racket, learn the basics of forehands, backhands, and volleys, learn the lines of the court, and play games as a whole group.

Futures - Orange Ball
Ages: 7-9*

Dates: Mondays & Wednesdays, 4:30-5:30pm
Description: In this clinic, participants will dive deeper into proper technique and grips on their forehands, backhands, volleys, and serves. Participants will learn to consistently make groundstrokes over the net and in the court, how to move appropriately on a tennis court to hit the ball in their strike zone, and will be able to sustain a rally with their peers. Participants will also learn the basics of the overhand serve and begin learning score-keeping.

Challengers - Green Dot
Ages: 9-11*

Dates: Mondays & Wednesdays, 4:30-5:30pm
Description: In this clinic, participants will continue to work on technique and proper grip usage from all parts of the court, and will be able to aim their groundstrokes both crosscourt and down the line during a point. This group will work to consistently rally and serve from the baseline, and will learn basic point-play strategy, including court positioning, offense/defense/neutral play, and how to transition to the net during a point. By the end of the session, participants will be playing singles and doubles matches with minimal adult supervision.

Middle School Select - Yellow Ball
Ages: 6th, 7th, & 8th graders

Dates: Mondays & Wednesdays, 5:30-7:00pm
Description: This clinic is for casual to competitive middle school-aged players who may be interested in participating on their middle school teams, for Junior Team Tennis, and/or for personal enjoyment. Players will participate in a mix of fed and live-ball drilling, and learn basic point-play strategy that they will utilize in live ball games and drills.

High School Select - Yellow Ball
Ages: 9th-12th graders

Dates: Mondays & Wednesdays, 5:30-7:00pm
Description: This clinic is for casual to competitive high-school aged players who may be interested in playing on their high school teams, for Junior Team Tennis, and/or for personal enjoyment. Players will participate in a mix of fed and live-ball drilling, and learn intermediate to advanced point-play strategy that they will utilize in live ball games and drills.

Tournament Track
Tournament Prep
Ages: 11-13
Ball: Yellow
Dates: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 4:30-6:00pm
Description: This invitation-only clinic is for juniors ages 11-13 who are beginning to participate in competitive tennis at the tournament level, and are committed to playing, practicing, and pursuing tennis-related opportunities outside of organized lessons & clinics. This group will focus on fed-ball and live-ball drilling, as well as matchplay strategy. For questions about the clinic and placement, please contact Nate at nate@uncfarm.org.
Requirements:
- Must be evaluated and approved by a Farm coach in order to participate
- Must play at least 1 USTA or UTR sanctioned tournament per season
- Not required if during middle school and/or JTT seasons
- Farm coaches will organize a group and travel to 1 tournament per season with players
- Practicing at least 1x/week outside of lessons & clinics
- Participating in the Jr. Singles Ladder and/or the Friday Matchplay Clinics will count towards this requirement
Options: Two-Day Option Only
High Performance
Ages: 13+
Ball: Yellow
Dates: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 4:30-6:30pm
Description: This invitation-only clinic is for highly competitive players who are playing in USTA and/or UTR sanctioned tournaments on a regular basis, and who demonstrate a clear commitment to the sport outside of structured lessons and clinics. Sessions are focused on live ball drilling, fitness, and both singles and doubles matchplay strategy. For questions about this clinic and placement, please contact Sam at sam@uncfarm.org

Friday Matchplay Clinics
Ages: Open to all Yellow Ball Track clinic participants

- High Performance & High School Select: Fridays 5:30-7:00pm
Options: Individual Date & Whole Session Options (must be registered by the Wednesday prior to participate in single-day option)
Description: These groups will meet every Friday afternoon for singles and doubles matchplay. To participate, players must also attend one of the yellow ball clinics described above
Fall Junior Singles Ladder
Ages: Open to all Yellow Ball Track clinic participants
(Middle & High School Select, Tournament Prep, High Performance)
Dates: Fall 2025 (Registration closes Sept. 1)
Description: After registration is complete, a match schedule will be created and shared with all participants with detailed instructions, weekly opponents, and contact information. It will be your and your child’s responsibility to check their schedule for their weekly opponent, schedule matches in a timely manner, book courts, and report scores on a weekly basis.
End of Session Parent/Child Clinic
Ages: Open to all Red, Orange, and Green Dot clinic participants
Dates: Saturday, October 4th, 9:00-10:00am
Description: These clinics will meet on a Saturday at the end of every six week clinic session. Children will attend with one other parent/adult, and our Farm pros will lead the group through a series of fun, silly, and interactive drills, games, and competitions that will give the adults a sense of what their child has learned over the course of the session, and how they can continue to support their child’s tennis as a family.
Junior Team Tennis
Ages: 10U, 12U, 14U Registration Link
Dates: Fall 2025 (Registration TBD)
Description: Junior Team Tennis is a wonderful entryway to competitive tennis. Over the course of a season, kids will have the opportunity to compete as a team against other clubs in the area, playing both singles and doubles matches. Registration for JTT typically opens in September.
Adult Clinics
Men’s & Women’s Singles Ladders
Registration is now open for our Fall Singles Ladders!
This year there will be both a Men’s Ladder and a Women’s Ladder. Both ladders are for 3.0+ players.
Registration for this Fall will be done via Court Reserve. The links for both ladders can be found below. There will be a $10 entry fee.

Once registration is complete, a schedule will be created for the season (typically lasting 5-6 weeks) where you will play against a different opponent every week. It will be your responsibility to contact your opponents and schedule matches in a timely manner. All matches must be completed by the end of the season. At season’s end a small playoff will be held based on overall record to determine the Fall champions. More detailed instructions, contact information, and a full schedule will be sent out to all registered players.

Men’s Lunchtime Practice
Wednesdays 1:00 – 2:00 pm
This clinic is for men rated 3.0 and above who want to get out for a midday session of fed-ball drills, live-ball rallying, and singles & doubles point play. Join us Wednesdays from 1:00–2:00 PM. Contact Sam at sam@uncfarm.org with any questions.
Adult Beginner Morning Clinic
Mondays 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM, begins September 8, 2025
For any and all beginning, or already playing some players. 2.5’s this is your clinic too. We will work on stroke mechanics, strategy and hopefully lots of live ball hitting.

200 Plus Clinic
Tuesdays and Thursdays 9:00 – 10:00 am
This clinic is for those wanting to practice just one particular stroke for the hour. The idea is that you will get your reps in just one session and hopefully master that stroke for future play.

2.5 - 3.5 Adult Clinic
Wednesdays 10:00 – 11:30 am
This clinic focuses on doubles. Basically you will dominate after this 1.5 hours.
Cardio Tennis

TLL Prep Clinic
Wednesdays 9:00 – 10:00 am (9/3-10/8)
Get ready for the TTL (Wednesday Ladies League) seasons with some drilling and live ball with a focus on strategy and team building. All are welcome, even if you are not participating in TTL this Fall.
Play of the Week
Begins Friday, September 12:
10:00 – 11:00 am (3.0-3.5)
11:00 am – 12:00 pm (4.0-4.5)
Similar to shot of the week, but each week we will discuss a different “play” that we will drill and then implement in some live ball games. This first clinic series will be doubles focused. Plays of the week will include net play and poaching, hitting and lobbing the ball down the line and the strategy behind it, taking balls out of the air and serve and serve return.
