Head Pickleball Pro

As many of you know, Colee is no stranger to The Farm. She spent many summers teaching tennis at Farm Camp and took lessons from her father, Howard Schroeder, who was the Tennis Director at The Farm from 1987 to 2001. Colee recently returned to Chapel Hill, after being away for over 14 years, to raise her young son, Charlie.

Prior to moving back to NC, Colee worked for the USTA in Orlando, FL at the USTA National Campus. As Senior Marketing Manager for Adult Tennis, Colee was responsible for promoting USTA League, Adult National Tournaments, and Tennis on Campus, among other activities.

Colee has been playing pickleball for over five years and is both a Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR) Certified Pro and an International Pickleball Teaching Professional Association (IPTPA) Level II Pro.

Clinics and Lessons

The Farm currently offers pickleball on its 4 hard tennis courts. Temporary lines have been set up with either a portable pickleball net or using the tennis net. Pickleball clinics are being offered for beginner and intermediate players with new programming being added soon. Pickleball 101 – Adult Clinic

This clinic is appropriate for beginner pickleball players and those that have never played pickleball before. In this 6 session clinic, you will learn the basic pickleball shots: dink, volley dink, volley, serve, and service return. Additionally, you’ll learn scoring, court positioning, and basic strategy. Each session will include instruction, drills, and games.

Pickleball 201 – Adult Clinic

This clinic is appropriate for those players that have completed Pickleball 101 and/or have experience playing pickleball. In this 6 session clinic, we will do more drilling and strategy while developing shot selection as well as introduce groundstrokes and the third shot drop/drive. Each session will include instruction, drills, and games.

Play-with-the-Pro

In this lesson, get one hour of pickleball play with strategy and coaching – ideal for three participants.
