Ben Allred, originally from Chapel Hill, attended Glenwood Elementary, Phillips Junior High, and Chapel Hill High School. He received a Bachelor’s degree in 1990 and a Master’s degree in Recreation Management in 1997, both from UNC-Chapel Hill. Although not a childhood member, he frequently visited The Farm as a guest and even has a picture of himself in The Farm baby pool as a toddler. Ben’s journey at The Farm began with a Recreation Internship in May 1990. He became Farm Manager in January 1998, taking over for Jack Simmons.
